Put a Bird In It was an event hosted by WeMake as part of the celebrated Design Week Portland. More than fifty artists, designers, and craftspeople from the local community came together to create a stunning collection of unique birdhouses, each one auctioned off to raise vital funds for local school art programs. I had the pleasure to collaborate with my very talented friend Zach Yarrington on this project, where we drew inspiration from the iconic Mint Hotel and Casino of old Las Vegas,  infusing our design with a touch of mid-century architecture and classic neon signage. As someone with a deep passion for these timeless design elements, I saw this as the perfect opportunity to bring one of my favorite neon designs to life, all while contributing to a meaningful cause.
